Hello

I am James Winterburn, a photographer based in West Yorkshire, UK.

I have always been interested in photography but it’s only recently that I have decided to take it seriously as a career.

After finishing art college the future was all about computers - so I pivoted and wandered off down that path. Even so, I kept taking photos along the way and the walls at home are full of memories from holidays. Looking back, it feels obvious that this is where I was meant to end up.

Cars and motorsport have always been a passion of mine so it made sense to start out in automotive photography. On my first day out with my new camera and a new drive, I was lucky enough to win that events photography competition - a key moment that gave me the confidence to keep going.
